Firmware for the TI CUBE
These files can be burnt into two EPROMs (must be at least 32 KB each). One file is for the even/MSB EPROM and the other is for the odd/LSB EPROM (labeled on the memory card).
These files are direct copies from Stuart Conner’s TMS 9900 breadboard system page. All rights and credit go to him.
As he notes on his page: “A combined EPROM binary image is provided which contains the EVMBUG system monitor and Cortex BASIC in the lower 32K bank, and the TIBUG system monitor and Cortex BASIC in the upper 32K bank.”
For the TI CUBE the bank is selected using JP1 on the memory card (note: JP2 must be in the “FIXED” position).
Demo running Cortex BASIC
Note the following is using the version of Cortex BASIC stored in the lower bank (i.e. JP1 is set to “LO”). This version copies the BASIC interpreter into RAM, hence why there is only about 3 KiB of available code space. The other version in the upper bank (i.e. JP1 set to “HI”) runs entirely from ROM and so has much more code space available.

The image belows show the TI CUBE running TIBUG. The ‘O’ command was used to display the memory map using the default configuration provided by the addressing decoding PLD (ROM from 0x0000 to 0x7FFF and RAM from 0x8000 to 0xFFFF)
